The Way Ahead

On 1st October 2004 the final stage of the goods, facilities and services provisions in Part III of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) came into force.  The new laws required businesses and other service providers to make reasonable adjustments to their businesses to give everybody access to them.

I approached Inter-Action MK and we worked in partnership with disabled people in Milton Keynes to make 23 different signs.  I wanted to launch an exhibition on the same day as the new law came in as a reply to the policy makers.

The Way Ahead toured nationally during 2005 - 2006 and featured on the BBC news website.  It is available for exhibition on request.
